Revenge has its price...

This is what's written in the fisrt page of the book:
"What is your name?" the Duke addressed her in a deep, low voice.
"T-Tars . . Your G-Grace."
"Tara, you are to marry me. How old are you?"
"Nearly eighteen, Your Grace."
"Very well," he said as the door opened and the minister entered.
Dazed, the last thing Tara remembered was repeating the words, "I will."
Then it was over. She was married to a Highland Chieftan--a man she had never seen until two minutes before!
Long story short: He was tricked by another Chieftain to marry his daughter so there could be peace among their clans, but right after the wedding she ran away with her lover because she was with child. Out of hate and looking for revenge, the Chieftain married a Sassenach orphan, so he can humiliate the other clan by forcing them to accept his wife. Well, so far this sounds not that bad, right? We readers are expecting her to be sweet and innocent and the most beautiful woman ever seen by the Chieftain. Well, we readers, then, are mistaken. She has the shorter hair ever. She cannot even arrange it in a ponytail. She looks like a sheep. And that's not it! Our hero makes her look like a pauper to infuriate the others! She is in rags all the time! How are they suppose to fell in love if she is wearing old clothes, has short hair and is too thin to be fashionable? Well, Madame Cartland has her ways to make it happen...
My favorite part:
"Can I go, your Grace? Can I... really go to London with my grandfather?"

if you really want to read a good and full of adventure novel so i will always recommed BARBARA CARTLAND. when i read her books i am not only reading them but i am inside the novel with it's characters. it's just not a novel it's some thing real and full of fancination.so as this novel too!
