Advice and insight from the older/wiser men in my life that I wish I had...

This is a great book for men. I heard of some the conscious men's summit interviews online (which was excellent) and decided to get this book. It is part a summary of the topics discussed in the summit and also offers a lot of new material.
There aren't a lot of books for men out there like this one, so it definitely helps fill a void. I am a big John Gray fan even though he sometimes gets criticized for stereotyping male / female differences sometimes, but he has a lot of great metaphors and insights. This is the first I've read/heard of Arjuna Ardagh and I'm am also a fan now.
I found the chapters on loving deeply, anger, and brotherhood particularly useful. I would recommend this for any man who wants to become more evolved and whole and gain from some wisdom of men who have obviously been around the block and learned a lot.
Women (and gay men) who want insight on what to look for and support in a man as a partner could also benefit.

I love this book.

I learned that being a conscious man means being able to access the masculine and feminine side of my personality every day. I learned that listening involves both masculine and feminine qualities. Listening involves being still and silent like a man, but it also involves listening and responding with empathy and compassion like a woman. I have to do a better job of listening with empathy and compassion. There is another useful chapter in this book that discusses how to channel my anger into a position of leadership or something positive. I got angry when my responsibilities were decreased. I did not feel like a valued employee to the company. I really worked hard at working with my one client. Earlier this month I received another client to work with. I learned to work hard and not get angry when something happens at work. I love it when I read something that I can apply to my life. Conscious Men makes me really think about my mission and purpose in life. My mission and purpose in life is to help to create plays for the people of Hawaii. I meet every week with a group of my fellow performers. We reconnect with each other by talking about our lives. We also conduct interviews with different people in the community for their stories. We share the stories we collect and craft them into a play. There is a chapter in this book that talks about supporting one another. This is what I do every week with my theater group. Not every chapter in this book relates to me. There is a chapter about sex in this book. I do not have sexual partner, but I look forward to finding a woman some day. This book gives me hope. I think that if I continue working doing theater work I will find a sexual partner. The information in this book is very insightful and easy to understand. I like this book very much.

Inspiring and Practical Insights On Being a Conscious Man!

Inspiring and practical insights are shared by John Gray and Arujuna Ardagh. Conscious Man gives both the theory, science background and practice exercises to teach men how to balance his masculine and feminine sides, which allows him to be aware of his higher purpose in life while also being sensitive to the changing environment. For 36 plus years, I have coached leaders in organizations regarding diversity and inclusion, identity development including gender, race and culture and positive change. My team and I are committed to facilitating conscious organizational evolution. This conscious evolution can only happen and be sustained if the leaders are conscious. In addition, I found the tips quite helpful after each section, called "To Women".
